It's 118o today...Can I come Visit YOU?

Wednesday, August 08, 2012

I suppose you'd compare this to in the teens in the winter in some places. Outside is just plain uncomfortable. Hard to breath. Getting in a car that has sat outside and it's like 150o inside. Many people, to prove a point, have put pillsbury cookie dough on a cookie sheet into their cars. When they get out of work, the cookies have baked. It makes it hard to exercise outside because our low last nite was 960, so no time is a good time, as I'm sure it is outside in winter for many places. But even exercising inside is uncomfortable because we have to keep the AC at 80o to be able to afford the electric bill. Which watching it, like that, it is still in the $300s. Oh, woe is me...

That's awful for you, especially the night heat which stops you getting rest. It's winter here so we are in the teens C. and it has poured down the last few days. But I always think it's easier to warm yourself up (exercise, warm clothes) than it is to cool down effectively. So I think you have the very short end of the stick. Here's hoping a cold front comes your way soon.
