My experience with Sensa
Thursday, August 16, 2012
I keep seeing the adds for Sensa on here, and I just can't keep this to myself any more. I tried Sensa, and this is my experience. I can't say what Sensa will do to you or anyone else. This is only a recount of my experience. I'm not looking for feedback, I just want to provide another viewpoint for anyone looking for user experiences.
I tried Sensa late in 2011. I used it for about 2 months, and I used it on about 75% of my meals.
Personally I never had a change in my appetite or quantities eaten. I didn't notice the taste particularly, although my husband tried it and said ick I don't think I lost any weight either. It may have worked if I had kept using it, but I had a strange side effect.
I lost most of my sense of smell. I could still taste things, but it was muted. I didn't smell about 90% of the things I was exposed to and what I did smell always smelled like burnt toast. It took about 4 months for it do go away after I stopped using it.
Please understand that anything other than eating healthy choices and exercising intelligently is likely to have some side effect, while the most common and most frequent side effect of eating right and exercising smartly is weight loss and improved health.
Sensa may work perfectly for you, and I wish you the best of luck in your weight loss journey whatever path you choose. Personally I have come to the conclusion that adding chemicals to my body and messing with my brain is no where near as effective or enjoyable as just eating more non-starchy vegetables and naturally grown meat and avoiding sugar and starches. Looks like the universe gave me a big kick in the pants for trying a shortcut, and for once I listened.
BTW I have lost 14 lbs since I stopped taking Sensa. And I can smell everything, good and bad, which I much prefer.
