In one week, got married, diagnosed with cancer in my brain and went for a 10K "Race"

I can't describe the feeling I am having all over my body and soul how this week has gone.
On Sunday just one week ago I got married to my husband that I have been lived with and loved for 8 years.
On Wednesday they found more cancer in my brain in two places and I am starting radiation with the chemo therapy because of the cancer that is in my spine.
The first thing I asked was "Can I go to the 10k race on saturday?"... the doctor said YES IF YOU WALK! hehehe.. OK I will walk, I will promise not to run (even though I ran the last 200m :))
I went with my family and friends, Enjoyed it so much!
You sure can do what your mind tells you, what you can do when you decide it!
I am feeling more glad than sad, but I think the sadness will come later this week when I start to relise how serious my situation is. But for now, I am enjoying live! My 16 years old daughter is going for a year to Austria for 10 months wow! and we had a party for her today and lot's of friends came and said good bye to her. I hope I will see her back again when she arrives safe home!
Congratulations on your wedding!! You certainly had quite a week and you are quite a lady!! Your positive attitude is an inspiration. Continue to build all the wonderful memories as you are, and live life to its fullest.
So very sorry for your diagnosis :(( So many congratulations on living your life to the fullest and getting married. These race photos are fantastic! What a close knit, fun family you have! I am so amazed by your generous spirit. I know what a tough choice it was for you that your daughter will be away for so long, but you really do milk life for everything it is worth, and it is admirable that you encourage everyone around you to do the same! I have a 10K coming up in September that I was training to run in, since pneumonia reared it's ugly head again, I have had to halt my training to run it. I am determined now to walk it for sure, you have inspired me! I have been starting to walk again, and I can work up to it by mid September. Many thanks to you for sharing your trials and triumphs constantly, it really does remind me of how important each day is. Fight baby fight! 2883 days ago
Congratulations on your marriage! Your DH has been there for you through so much; how lovely that you two have gone ahead and gotten married.
Great photos of the 10K. It looks like everyone had a great time - I loved the photos. Such radiance on everyone's faces!
I am so sorry to hear that cancer is back in the picture. You are a fighter. You have the most positive attitude and outlook. You have a wonderful supportive family (both close and extended.) Those are thing things that can carry you through treatment and recovery.

Keep the positive attitude and keep us inspired. We are all happy for you in your new marriage! Congrats! We will keep you in our prayers as you recover from the cancer. Spark on! 2887 days ago
Thanks for the pictures of the route. It was like going the whole 10k all over again. Your courage and incredibly positive outlook throughout this ordeal makes me ashamed to complain about my petty problems. I'm wishing you a speedy and complete recovery. No one deserves it more. There is a great song by Ray Lamontagne called BE HERE NOW. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBSn R4ZP2MI You're so good at living in the moment it could be your theme song. I hope this week you continue to stay glad and continue to do the things you love through the trying weeks to come.
