I pushed too hard with lots of exercise--much of it in high heat and humidity--while keeping calories a bit too low. I started feeling tired a week ago and it just kept getting worse. I took a couple of days off of serious exercise and ate a bit more and I am feeling better.
I lost 10 pounds in 40 days and what is more important, I really feel the weight loss. I am at a sweet place with my weight where I feel significantly better. My midriff is not my favorite area due to a surgery done when I was at my highest weight. They stapled the incision and didn't bother to line the skin up so I have "lumps" of skin and underlying fat that are uneven on both sides of the incision. My weight is now low enough that this area look pretty good even in form-fitting clothing. My other least liked areas are my legs--specifically from the bottom of my knees up to mid thigh. This area is like a log with the circumference at the knee the same as at the largest part of my thigh. Lots of lumpy fat. I wear wide leg pants and it looks OK. However at my current weight I can tell that this part of my legs are the smallest they have ever been.
I carry all my fat in my legs, midriff, and a bit on my back. Anything more I lose is going to come off those areas.
Bottom line--I am going to transition into maintenance. I am going in increase my calories while I continue to exercise as much as I can while enjoying it and staying comfortable. Once the weather cools off, I will cut back on calories and take off the last 10 pounds.
