Early Morning pics

A Sparrow watching the sun rising.

I walked out to the garden hoping to find the Goldfinches. I could hear them, but only one young House Finch eating the Sunflower seeds.

Loki followed me outside to look around, then came back in when I did.

The Scrub Jay was letting me know he was around. Actually there were two of them, but one of them flew off.

On the 9th we had some puffy clouds hanging around, and a pretty sunset.

Have a good Thurs!

Love the pictures! As usual, you have done an outstanding job! These are different goldfinches from what we have here. I haven't fed them for a few yrs. now but when I did, I would have 15 to 20 at the feeder at one time. Cute little buggers!! Beautiful cloud and sunset pictures as well. Thanks dear. I enjoyed. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Great shots, as usual...Loki has pretty blue eyes...I had a blue-eyed cat at one time, but she was deaf....The Vet told me, that was not uncommon with blue-eyed cats...is Loki's hearing ok? I mean, other than the "selective hearing" cats tend to have.

Lovely photos and what a beautiful cat you have! I bet he makes those birds very nervous, indeed! Dexter rarely goes outside, here, because the coyotes are so very thick. Cats do not live long here at all. There are no ferals in the area whatsover. Haven't been since I got here, for sure.

Beautiful! Bet your birds have to be careful with your cat. I can't let my dog out if I am watching birds , he chases them all away. I would love to have blue jays here, use to have them at my other house. I can hear them across the street, but they won't come here. Take good care. emoticon

What a wonderful hodge-podge of everything you have in your back yard. I have house finches roosting in the eaves of my home gym, cardinals making out in the back yard, humming birds were around the feeder out front but have moved on now, Peacocks that just hop up over the fence to pick on my dogs, and cranes, cranes, and more cranes!

You take beautiful pictures, and I stole one of them yesterday because it totally matched my mood and I now have it as my background image on my sparkpage. I meant to thank you for this yesterday, but it was the one of the weird cloud coverage around sunset. Thank you for it, and I should apologize for not asking first! Opps, sorry!!

Lovely! This morning, we had a young goldfinch on the ground near our front door when we left for school. It looked like it might have been attacked or maybe flew into something, because it's right eye looked damaged and it acted a little disoriented. Lucy kept an eye on it through the front screen door, so that the local cats would not hurt it. When I got home, it had flown off again.

Beautiful pix. Made my evening, so thanks. I love the yellow finches, they eat the leaves off of my sunflowers. The first time I grew them, I would go out at night to see what worm was causing all the damage. for weeks I did this. Then one day, poked my head out and her where 11 yellow finches have a leaf eating fest. They were so beautiful and now since I know, I enjoy them and stopped looking for the worm. LOL!

I don't have a very good camera but I must try to take more pictures. I so enjoy yours.
