Beginning of week two...

Monday, September 17, 2012

It's been one week. I have really watched my diet. I did one day of strength training and I did four days of walking (2 miles). My glucose reading isn't much better. I see medication coming if I can't get this down. I have lost one pound. Blah! I guess it is something though and I will keep trying. Any suggestions on a diet to help get my glucose down?

I am in my second week also. I have been reading some on this site and from what I've been reading you need to make sure you are getting enough calories and logging your exercise. Otherwise your body will think you need to conserve and you won't lose the weight. As far as the glucose goes I have family and a boyfriend that have high blood sugar. Losing weight will bring it down but it takes time. You should be able to tell a difference soon. Are you monitoring your blood sugar on a regular basis?
Good for you wanting to change your lifestyle over having to take medication!
Good job on your excercise. I need to get on my treadmill more often...
I work in an office and although I'm up and down a lot I don't get a lot of excercise at work.
Be proud of yourself! Take a moment to celebrate. To lose one pound is much better than to gain one pound, that's how I look at it. Have a great day.
