Sugar is the trigger for me

Thursday, September 20, 2012

I was watching a TV programme about 3 months ago where they suggested high fructose corn syrup and sugar lead to your body over riding its full signals. It is though you are perpetually in summer mode where you would eat fruit to fatten up for the winter.

I avoided these things and I effortlessly lost over 30 pounds.......also realised that often I am thirsty rather than hungry as well...so drink sparkling water.

Amazingly i feel about 20 years younger emoticon

Your absolutely right about sugar, and it's amazing how much better you feel when you cut out uncertain sugars. Congratulations too on losing the weight!

Hi Thank you for all the great comments.

I felt as though I stumbled across the sugar/HFCs....I was hoping that if this blog just helped one person having to wait years to stumble across the "perpetually summer" feeling being fooled by sugar then i had done my little bit

Amen! Sugar is a major culprit in our obesity epidemic, and every time one of realizes this and makes the right changes, our general health gets better.

Congrats for recognizing the truth about your own body and for taking the steps to regain your health.

Best of success to you. emoticon

I have done the same thing. HFC, sugar of all kinds, anything that turns to sugar easily (white bread etc, anything processed) and I gave up aspartame too (all fake sugar). Amazing the difference in weight and body. Amazing. Wish I'd have known it 20 years ago. Good work, congrats!!
