Logging not blogging!

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

I haven't written anything on here in a while, like over 2 years ago! So here goes... I joined SparkPeople when I was 21 and I experienced a slow and steady progress a little over a year where I lost nearly 70 pounds and went from a size 16/18 to a 8/10! So I thought to myself, Ok, I've got this under control, I can probably ease up religiously counting calories... and over time, as I eased up on my healthy diet... cake, cookies, brownies, desserts, snacks, cheese, and some fast food started incorporating themselves into it. BAD IDEA! I'm so angry with myself. I've let almost 30 pounds creep back onto my body over the past year and a half, putting me into a size 12/14. My exercise has remained fairly consistant throughout my whole journey and I know muscle has replaced fat to some degree, but it's the diet I need to focus on again. Sure... I can blame the stress of graduating with my doctorate, moving out of state to a brand new location, and moving in with a family of 4 as the reasons to the weight gain... BUT THERE IS NO EXCUSE! I use to be in control and I have lost it. I'm taking Round 2 for real, already about 10 days into religiously counting calories again and amping up the exercise and I'm down about 5 pounds! Yes!

I'm living in Charleston, SC now, but I will be moving to Greenville in a couple weeks, so if anyone lives out there and wants an exercise buddy, I'm looking for someone!
