AT A LOSS FOR WORDS
Many relationships fail because we aren’t always sure what to say or do to make things right. Many times we are at a loss for words or we don’t want to swallow our pride and make amends. Eventually time slips by and we lose touch because we didn’t know what to say. In our relationship with God we sometimes are at a loss for words or we aren’t even sure how to talk to Him. There will be times when we don’t have to talk at all. He knows what we want to say and what we need to say. He wants us to spend time with Him and stay in the habit of spending time with Him.
Romans 8:26 “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, we thank You. There are times we don’t know what to say to You or to others. We may be ashamed. We may be confused. We may be to prideful. Help us in our weakness to just be open to You and allow You to speak for us. We know what You want is our attention. Help us to remember when we are at a loss for words to give You our full attention and allow the Holy Spirit to speak through us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
