CO Trip

Enjoying the thunder showers that are part of time here this trip. They are just different here than in Idaho and bring back many memories of growing up. I miss these and the mountains that surround this valley of the western slope. We think about moving back sometimes, but the job culture is so different. Photo above is of a storm on the National Monument and we could see the rain pouring on the Monument this afternoon.
Anyway.... most of our time is spent around MIL as she's been in the assisted living place for about 2 1/2 weeks now. Her dementia has worsened and she definitely goes in and out when talking. The family is going to have to move her to a shared room by Nov. 1 due to being Medicaid now instead of private pay. She won't be happy, but nobody ever is and she really isn't happy now either. Sadly it appears as the dementia worsens she becomes more cranky.
Tomorrow SIL and I are making time for our lunch out so we can just talk about stuff without all the others around. We're thinking either Pizza Hut for salad or Olive Garden.
Tim did get a wireless connection set up in SIL's place so I can now use my laptop after all which is just easier with all my links, etc. setup.
So.... one more day and then we hit the road for home. Oh... the noise we are hearing on the van is so hit and miss we can't place it and Tim looked in places he could think of and didn't see anything. Prayers are once again "Uneventful trip home please Lord!"
