This morning I chose to sleep in and not go to the gym. Just needed extra rest. Thankfully the kids both mentioned they didn't really want to go to the pumpkin patch field trip today (I was surprised.) and I gladly crossed that off the schedule. It's fun, but we didn't really need to go this year as we already have our pumpkins and didn't really need to spend the $12. That allowed us to do some actual schoolwork again today. I've been feeling like we are missing more than hitting those books! We did take a break and ran two quick errands and then they played "ghost & mummy" while I got lunch made. We then finished up our schoolwork.
Maegann was the mummy and Isaac was the ghost in this photo. She was trying to block his view with the Lego boxes and he was just hamming it up. You'd think he might realize there were 7 other windows to look through. LOL
This afternoon we had our first meeting with the Rehab counselor and Tim and I liked Travis a lot. Isaac will meet with him for the first time on Nov. 2 and then every other week through December. Travis saw that Isaac would also need some occupational therapy and informed us that by being at Elks Rehab they can coordinate their time instead of having two separate places working with him. Have I said I'm thankful that God brought all the timing together for financing and therapies? I've been struggling through this financing and being on waiting lists for help for months on end and God pulled it all together within two weeks. He is good! It was good hearing affirmation that we are doing the right things with social and house "rules" and he gave us good advice on handling a couple of current issues and on offering "over the top" praise and attention to his play/accomplishments.
We were allowed the opportunity to go "over the top" this evening when he put together a Pirate Ship play with his animals. We didn't think he was ever going to stop so Tim found a good "episode" stop for him. LOL
My plan for tomorrow is to head to the gym at my usual time (making up for not going today) and then I'll go pick up my Bountiful Basket which is just down the road a little ways. Can't wait to see what is in it!
After that I will go by the grocery store for the few items I need for the week. If the weather holds and it isn't raining I will get the lawn mowed one last time for the year. Other plans are to get some school plans in place and to begin working on some pajama gowns for Maegann's Cabbage Patch babies. She needs four gowns. I did get the pattern and fabrics out this morning.
