Day 10: Motivated and Halloween

Friday, October 26, 2012

So after my IBS attack last night I feel bloated and exhausted, and actually spent a lot of today sleeping. The immodium unfortunately has a sedative effect on me (I have no idea why) and so I'm always sleepy the next day.

On the bright side, I'm feeling ready for Halloween coming up and am ready to make my costume look AWESOME! I'm going as one of the Capitol Citizens from Hunger Games. It's going to be a blast. Caleb's going to be the Hulk and Matt is going to be a zombie.

I wasn't allowed to celebrate Halloween as a child for religious reasons and while I am still strong in my faith, I don't view Halloween the same as my mom did. I sought a lot of advice from people that I trust about Halloween as a Christian and a few points stuck out to me and since I love the fall and pumpkins and dressing up and fun - I decided I am okay with enjoying the fall, and the season of harvest, and even Halloween. My husband said he didn't have any issues with it and so here we are.

Plus, today I had a good day on some knitting forums of mine and got to chit chat and someone sent me a pattern I've been wanting for months - so all in all a decent day. :)

What are you doing for Halloween? Any strategies? Also, if you are religious and celebrate Halloween, I'd love to talk to you about it.
