This is a must at my house right now! We have candy corn in the house only because we needed them for the popcorn balls we made for our "treat" tomorrow at the pumpkin carving party. So there the leftovers sit on the counter in their matching candy corn serving dish. I am already trying to get prepared for all the high-calorie offerings that are going to be present tomorrow that will be considered "dinner." I'll combat it some though by going to the gym in the morning.

Today has felt quite long to me and I'm ready to pack it in and head to bed. It's not even 8 p.m. Could it be that I'm low on patience because I'm not feeling 100%? Could it be that little boy has been so contrary all day? Probably a combination. These are the toughest days for me though with him. He treats women/girls as nothing and just gets so mouthy. He's even taking to saying that moms are mean and just hit their children in the face. When he said that to me the first time on Wednesday during Maegann's piano lesson I really got on him. He said that I do this to him and sometimes I do worse. I told him that was a horrible thing to say, it was hurtful and that it was not truth. Here we are two days later and he's saying the same stuff during play. Thankfully I heard Maegann stop him and tell him he shouldn't talk that way. I asked him why he is continuing to say those things about moms and all he said was, "I can't get it out of my head." I'm going to have to be on my knees praying that out of his head!

Tomorrow will be busy. I will go pick up my Bountiful Basket at 7 a.m. and then head to the gym. I'm excited to see what I get tomorrow and I also ordered extra for "italian" fare. We have used every item except all the romaine lettuce and pomegranates from last week. Maegann and I then head out for hair trims at 1 p.m., drive all the way back to attend Bible Quizzing at 2 p.m. (I will be late.) and then we go to the carving party from there and it is from 4-7. Sunday is the Harvest Fair at church from 2-5 and Maegann is working with the missions team in one area from 1:30-3:30 so I'll go help our class setup and hand stuff out during that time too. Tim will come back with Isaac so he can do the "Trunk or Treat" stuff and enjoy the other things they have going on. I did get everything ready for Monday's co-op (opening and music class) so at least I'm ahead of things.

I think my plan to build in quieter days is working too. We've been going less and less and it feels wonderful. Today Maegann even asked me what all we needed to do and there was nothing at that point. She agreed it was nice not going so much.

Found out the kids now want to study the solar system next (we still need to finish India) so I even had time today to pull out some files on the computer I'd tucked away and got them printed out. Will give me time to prepare! I also received the grammar books I ordered for Maegann today so need to look through those.

Oh... Isaac did do well last night at Taekwondo so that chapter is officially done at this time. Will free up about six hours each week for the hubby! He was happy about that.

Candy corn isn't a big trigger for me (I guess unless it's mixed with peanuts), so no problem avoiding it. Sorry to hear that Isaac is causing problems. I'll send prayers your way! Have a great weekend!

Candy corn is a favorite of mine!

I'd respond more to the rest of your post but it is last and I have to be up at 5:30 to get to my volunteer site for Bountiful Baskets.

Have a wonderful Saturday. Hope you are feeling better!

I can resist the candy corn. However, if it was chocolate, it would be harder. I do have a system where I get a tiny bit of chocolate each night, so I don't get cravings.

Wow, he can't get it out of his head. I will be praying also!

I'm glad you have less busy days and more quiet time. That really lets the body recuperate!
