Days 11, 12 & 13 - Restaurant eating & getting stuck

So, I missed blogging for a few days, but I'm back. :) We went out to eat with my in-laws on Saturday and knowing where we'd be going, I spent some time looking at the nutritional information before we left. I opted to get the grilled chicken sandwich and seasonal vegetables from the kids menu - adding up to only 270 calories. I also eat 3/4 of a bowl of chili. I feel like I did an amazing job leaving the restaurant full and just under 600 calories considering that one of the sandwiches I like on the menu has a whopping 1600 calories!! I made it work in my calories for the day and felt amazing!
I have decided to start only weighing myself on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For some reason - even though I'm just beginning to try to lose weight, I'm bouncing around the same numbers this week and it's driving me batty and making me a little obsessed with the scale. I think the culprit may be my carbs... I haven't been making it into the carb levels most days because unless I binge on candy - I just don't eat a lot of carbs. It's a huge adjustment for me to try to add them into my diet, especially the healthy ones. So my goal for the next week is to try to get into my carb limit, even if it's just on the lower end.
Can anyone recommend a high carb food that is healthy and also includes some protein?
