Here We Go Again

Tuesday, November 13, 2012

Well as dumb as it was, I ended up off track again. But I don't want to talk about that because I'm back! And I feel better already. I stayed within my calorie limit yesterday and took E for a 1.53 mile walk. I've been doing OK today, too, but I got up late and missed breakfast so I've been snacky. I'm super hungry and can't wait to go home and eat dinner!

I need to start really paying attention to my fat and sodium intake because those tend to be outrageous, but I'm going to give myself a week to settle back in first. I already feel more motivated. I feel like I want to accomplish things - health and otherwise.

Right now my dad's in the hospital with a DVT (blood clot). It broke off and went to his lung and he had internal bleeding. Some of the risk factors for DVT are weight-related and I think my dad is finally realizing that he needs to get healthier if he wants to be around to see his granddaughter grow up. So he and my mom are planning to make some serious chages when he gets out. Hopefully we can all supposrt each other.

When Andy gets a job, I'm joining the Y, but for now I'm doing exercise videos and things. I've lost 23lb from when I started this time, and 30 from my highest weight pre-pregnancy. It's nothing to sneeze at but I have a long way to go. I feel like I have the "spark" back though. I want to cook and buy good, healthy foods, and not eat crap. I mean really - one day and I feel better! Hopefully this keeps up!

Keep your motivation high! I hope your dad is on the mend. I will be thinking of him! My dad can't have a lot of sodium and my mom drags him to chinese buffets several times a week. So frusterating watching them eat poorly. I wish I could motivate them.
