Two steps forward, 1 step back...but let's keep going

It seems like I get going again and then WHAM! Something happens to set me back a little. I've been sticking with my workout plan and adding a little more with each accomplishment. With a-fib, your heart starts racing more than normal for no reason at times and also may beat irregular. Yesterday morning, I woke up with an a-fib attack. Not the worse one I've ever had, but it prevented me from exercising as planned. Just a few weeks ago, I got the all clear from my cardiologist to do what ever exercises I wanted to do because there was nothing else wrong with my. I passed my stress test with flying colors. I don't have any other issues as far as my heart goes. It's very frustrating!! One thing...after an a-fib attack it feels like I ran 10 miles! I'm exhausted!! Today I feel much better and am back at it!! Have a great day, everyone! emoticon

    emoticon like you say we don't have to stuff ourselves to be like the poor turkey stuffed. emoticon Remember we need to eat On Friday and Sat. as well . me I like pumpkin pie but not sure what what we have for dessert . that job belongs to my two cousins and they are fixing the Veggie so it will be a surprise what they bring. the yams are going to have a few goodies on them but only fix them that way one time a year . so will enjoy them in a small severing. have a great day and family time that what is important about the day family time.

    take it slow and easy its not a contest its your hike to good health don't compare your self to others on the trail.

    Glad to hear you are feeling better today. I know how frustrating it can be in general when a workout is planned and it does not happen. But from I read about Afib, it sure sounds like you did the right thing.

    Take things slow and easy. Find a comfort zone for your heart rate and stick with it even if "the book" says its too low. I bought a heart rate monitor (one with the chest band) and it helps me stay in a target range. a-fib can be a pain in the southern hemisphere but we can learn to live with it.
