We actually had a kid-free afternoon! I can't even remember the last time that happened. Once the kids were in the care of the families they were spending the time with we decided we would head to our favorite place for lunch. Mongolian BBQ. Had plenty leftover for my lunch tomorrow too. I got a few things done once home and then took a nap before it was time to leave for quizzing.
During Bible quiz practice the coach lets the children draw while they listen to the Bible story. The drawings are to represent something they hear about the story. Had to share Isaac's drawing of a section of the Paul & Silas story in Acts. The "big deal" about this is that it is truly his first original drawing and not something he has copied.
It's amazing watching him draw.... fast and furious and you just can't think anything could possibly come from it! The words read: "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ."
Tomorrow I plan to begin the day at the gym thanks to a co-op free Monday. My favorite schedule that worked easiest was M/W/F so I'll enjoy that this month! Afterwards I will meet Tim at the car rental place so he can drop that off and then bring me home before he heads to work. Only other plan on the schedule is school with the kids. I know.... you'll check in tomorrow to see what else I filled the time with! LOL
My plan to keep accountable for my challenge to stop the soda will be an entry each day letting you know how it went and what I did to fight the cravings...if/when they come.
SODA CHALLENGE - DAY ONE
I made it through the entire day without one soda! I made sure I had plenty of unsweetened iced tea in the refrigerator.
