While Joseph thought about these things, an angel of the Lord came to him in a dream. The angel said, “Joseph, descendant of David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the baby in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:20-21

That was part of the short text we studied tonight (18-24) as we looked at Joseph more deeply. Definitely don't know very much at all about him other than he was righteous, caring and obedient to God.

This morning I began my day at the gym and then stopped at the grocery store to pick up items that would free me up from that errand tomorrow. After breakfast we settled down to schoolwork and other than Isaac having to re-write his scripture passage (he chose to copy his own writing from the day before with all the errors instead of the master copy) it went smoothly. Got my bible study lesson done and a good nap before heading out for piano lesson. I'm glad it went well for her today (she knows the stuff better than she thinks) because she was throwing a fit about it all yesterday. After dinner Tim and Maegann headed to church for the musical dress rehearsal and Isaac and I followed an hour later so I could attend bible study.

Tomorrow...absolutely nothing on the schedule other than school. I'm sure I'll figure out a few things to do around here or I'll go crazy!

I woke up with an even worse headache this morning and offered it water, ibuprofen and a sinus pill. I will admit while driving by the convenience store and McDonald's on the way home from the gym I heard that tempting voice saying, "A soda would help the headache." I just kept driving. Victory! The headache has eased considerably this evening so I'm thinking I'm through the worst of that part of the physical withdrawal. Feels great having made it strongly through the first four days!
