Veggies AND dip? Yes, please!!

I used to never need snacks. I would just eat my meals and be done. I also used to smoke and I think that filled in the bored moments. And I used to work in an office where food was not right in my face and I was busy doing stuff so I was not thinking of food. These days I have a few hours of downtime at work (i am an infant teacher in a daycare/preschool), once in the morning and once in the afternoon. My days start earlier and we get home by 4. I dont smoke anymore. And I am stressed, bored, and dragging all the time. The combo makes me hungry. By the time we get home I am usually either wanting a nap or a snack...sometimes both, although sometimes I just grab some water and then lay down to sleep it off for a few minutes. Anyway, the other day I discovered a new little diet secret in my own kitchen. I love veggies and can snack on them plain forever, but if I know that there is a dip I am all on it lol. So there I was the other day, desperate for a snack and I pulled out baby carrots and we had tzatziki sauce that I bought for lamb recently but then we forgot to use it and it is about to expire so I decided to use it as a dip. And it was good. :) Then I looked at the label and realized it only has 35 calories for a 2 tbsp serving. There are 9 servings in this container for a total of 315 calories. That is actually less than the amount of calories it would be for 2- 2 tbsp servings of ranch. And I absolutely didn't even come close to eating even a half of this stuff, but to know what a huge difference in calories it was totally surprised me. I can actually have veggies AND dip without guilt!! I was so excited about it. Just had to share!! :)
