The day began at the gym as planned and then I got through some schoolwork with the kids. Much less grumbly day! Wasn't sure how Maegann would be as she had a rough night trying to get to sleep as her back and neck were bothering her so much from the adjustments the doctor made. She could see better today without glasses.
We went to lunch at Subway and then went to the thrift store as the kids needed $1 items for a gift exchange on Friday at the co-op Christmas party. Love, Inc. always has very nice things compared to some of the thrift stores.
Took a long nap and had already put dinner together (a casserole) so wasn't much to be done there. I didn't get to the government paperwork, but the ones that needed to be completed by Friday are finished and the hubby will drop them off tomorrow.
This evening we enjoyed the party at the Assisted Living place where my dad lives. Each year they have a local theater group come "caroling." Not only do they offer fabulous acapella Christmas music, they have green show that flows throughout. Very funny! Afterwards we had a slice of pumpkin pie and then headed home.
Tomorrow: gym, school, piano and Bible study.
SODA CHALLENGE - DAY 10
I was still very tired of iced tea and water so I threw a Crystal Light and some honey tea into things today. This may be tougher to get past than the headache last week! At any rate I am 10 days soda free!
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
