The day began at the gym as planned and then I got through some schoolwork with the kids. Much less grumbly day! Wasn't sure how Maegann would be as she had a rough night trying to get to sleep as her back and neck were bothering her so much from the adjustments the doctor made. She could see better today without glasses.

We went to lunch at Subway and then went to the thrift store as the kids needed $1 items for a gift exchange on Friday at the co-op Christmas party. Love, Inc. always has very nice things compared to some of the thrift stores.

Took a long nap and had already put dinner together (a casserole) so wasn't much to be done there. I didn't get to the government paperwork, but the ones that needed to be completed by Friday are finished and the hubby will drop them off tomorrow.

This evening we enjoyed the party at the Assisted Living place where my dad lives. Each year they have a local theater group come "caroling." Not only do they offer fabulous acapella Christmas music, they have green show that flows throughout. Very funny! Afterwards we had a slice of pumpkin pie and then headed home.

Tomorrow: gym, school, piano and Bible study.

I was still very tired of iced tea and water so I threw a Crystal Light and some honey tea into things today. This may be tougher to get past than the headache last week! At any rate I am 10 days soda free!

Ephesians 4:11-16

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.

Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

Are you drinking just plain black tea? There are so many flavored teas out there if you want to mix things up. I'm drinking Cinnamon Stick iced tea right now! Something to look into... Have a great Wednesday!

Oops, didn't read your blog before I made some suggestions on your page about your soda challenge. Yes, you are getting to a hard part I think. You can do it though! Treat yourself with a special flavored water drink when you go shopping sometime. There are all kinds of flavored waters now. I bought one a couple of times when I seriously needed something besides water. Even gatorade or something like that gives you a break from the norm.

It sounds like you had a good day yesteray..and congrats on another day soda free! Have you ever tried flavored seltzer? It's water with phizz, perhaps will do the trick? I agree with the "ice water" and "add druit (slices of lemon, lime, even orange) recommendations, too!

    Keep up the good work!

You might try adding some fruit to the water. I have learned to love water

Do you drink your water ice cold? That helped my body decide to crave it. No idea why? We keep a big thing of it cold with ice all day long, and when I fill my bottle, I drop more ice in it and fill it from the cold water. Just a worked for me. :-)

I no longer drink regular tea, but the herbal teas. I particularly like the "fruit" teas such as peach tea, raspberry tea, etc. Mint tea is enjoyable also. Then there are teas such as chamomile for helping a person relax for sleep and also echinacea for when you have a cold or similar respiratory problem. Perhaps you can try some of those for variety.
