Did not make it to the gym this morning as planned as I didn't realize the hubby had to be gone earlier. I told the kids today that I will be back by 8 a.m. tomorrow because once again Tim will be gone earlier and I can't keep giving up the gym time as it just doesn't happen if I don't go in the morning. I can make my third day for the week on Saturday before I go pick up my fruits and veggies.
Not a whole lot of activity today which was nice. Got some schoolwork finished, had Maegann help me with the dipped pretzels for tomorrow night, took her to piano, had leftover taco soup for supper and then I was off to church early to get the video set up for bible study. "The Nativity Story" was done well. Takes some 'Hollywood' license, but that's nothing new. It was engaging. Kids are now in bed and once I'm done here it is time to watch Survivor.
Tomorrow: gym, school and a co-op Mom's Night Christmas party in the evening.
SODA CHALLENGE - DAY 12
I made another day! Eleven days may not seem like much, but for me it is huge! Was still struggling with the flavor part so purposely "fed the flavor beast" so that I would not get derailed. I added some lemon/lime to my tea this afternoon and enjoyed a Crystal Light. I also picked up a couple bottles of the sparkling flavored waters while I was at the store. I do use the herbal teas too as many on yesterday's blog talked about, but I think this is the point where I've lost in the past when I try to give up the soda. The "sweet" factor. But I made it today and now that I believe I need to push through this that will help tomorrow as well.
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
(1 Peter 5:7)
Devotion: Trust God. You don't have to go through life independently. Trust yourself to God's care every day, and have faith that He will let you know what is good for you.
