Today was a quiet one. I started off at the gym, did school with the kids and then chose to work on the 2013 calendar and get events listed. That forced me to make some phone calls and schedule some doctor appointments so that was good. I also got the frig cleaned out as I couldn't find anything so now it looks great. I even got an hour nap in this afternoon after getting the salmon marinating for dinner.
Tonight I have a Christmas party (co-op moms) and am really looking forward to it. Have my white elephant gift ready, my sweet/salty snack ready and my mindset ready on how to tackle the yummy goodies that will be overflowing. I'll report back tomorrow on how I did!
Friday will be a busy day. The kids have their co-op Christmas party from 11-1 (it's about a 45 minute drive allowing time to park and walk), Isaac has his counseling from 3-4 and then our friend is supposed to come for dinner and games. I'm putting a roast in the crockpot regardless.
SODA CHALLENGE - DAY 12
Another day I can say "Whoo Hoo! I did it!" BUT there is a Christmas party this evening and I'm sure there will be soda available. My plan is to stick with water! I did try a flavored seltzer water today just to see if I'm missing the carbonation and I really don't think that's the case. This particular one was way too sweet and had an after taste too.
Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.
Devotion: Trust in Him. If you're tired of playing hide-and-seek with God, let Him know you trust Him and desire to have His presence in your life. As you seek Him regularly, with right motives, He will come out of hiding.
