Day 8 of blogging and I'm so proud of myself for doing this!

I'm listening to a Jillian Michaels podcast as I Spark this morning. I just listened to a Sparkpeople radio Living in the now or something like that. It's so important that we do that!

I have big plans for today, taking the doggie for a short walk, then going for a longer walk by myself. I have to be careful though, because there's snow on the ground and I need to watch out for my knee.

Enjoy the holidays everyone, but don't splurge too much on alcohol, only eat the things that you don't get during the rest of the year, and only eat a little of each instead of 10 of each!

My plan for Christmas eve and Christmas day are to eat a smaller breakfast and lunch than usual, and make healthy choices during dinner. I am cooking both meals, (one at my mom's house and one at my house) so I know what is in them and what I should/should not eat. We don't really have much that we don't have during the rest of the year, so it shouldn't be difficult. The issue I have is that when I'm around my family I tend to drink more and fall back into the unhealthy habits I had when I weighed 210 pounds! I am going into this with my eyes wide open though, and am better equipped this year mentally than I have ever been!

Goals for today:
~ 80 oz water - 48 yesterday
~ 10,000 steps - 9536 yesterday
~ 25 flights of stairs (this seems like a lot but I only use the upstairs bathroom at home, and that helps alot!) 24 yesterday
~ Doggie walk
~ journal every bite
~ smile at least once an hour
~ earn 75 sparkpoints
~ continue writing out christmas cards
~ focus on this lifestyle I have chosen for myself and don't sweat the small stuff
