Out with the old, in the new!

Tuesday, January 01, 2013

Happy New Year Spark Friends! I hope you rang in the new year with a bang. I rang it in with zzzz's and two dogs on our bed. *note: We don't let them sleep with us EVER, but the noise was getting to them. At 2am, when the noise settled down, I sent them back downstairs, not enough room on the bed, lol.

Well, so much for the holiday POUND that research suggests we gain over the holidays. Just as I expected, it was more than that. So if you lost a few pounds, I have them, I will do my best to get rid of it and not send it back your way. You are welcome :) lol

Why is it I always think of the best things to write about right before I fall asleep? Am I the only one??? Here's just a few things I have been pondering lately...

1)There is something wonderfully therapeutic about pouring out your problems to anonymous people! They often don't judge and if they do, it's easier not to get offended by it? The opposite goes for sharing successes and triumphs! I feel great when someone I don't know offers kudos to me for something good I've done. Of course this is just an observation.

2) 2013 brings some potentially BIG changes for me! But first, I must muster the courage to make them happen. I don't mean to be cryptic here, but I am not ready to share just yet. Let's just say that I am VERY fearful right now. As things progress, I will likely share.

3) I have the same goal as last year, but for a different reason. I have been invited back to Las Vegas to play in a woman's soccer tournament. Last year, my main SP goal was to lose a few lbs to be better on the field. This time, I can't play :( But I can still play off the field and look fabulous! That is my plan.

I am a SP stalker or zombie right now. I am logging, exercising, spinning the wheel, reading blogs and articles. I soooooo appreciate several of you checking in on me, sending me goodies and keeping me in check in other ways. Thank you!

Here's to a great 2013!

Fear can be a good thing. It forces as to step back and assess and reassess. And when you're ready to share, we're ready to listen.

One of our dogs is deaf, and one a quarter deaf and half blind. They work in concert on walks and are not bothered by New Years blasts. I was however! Woke up with a bang! (so to speak). Enjoy 2013 by getting rid of those pesky pounds. Have a great 2013!

Be cryptic. Ive had many thoughts that i was not ready to share yet. The sweetest fruit ripens on the tree, not the counter. (Note, this is not true for avocados and pears, both of which ripen better off the tree, further proving every rule has exceptions)

    And now i want fruit.

    Be well!

Our dogs were scared last nite, too, with all the fireworks. But, for whatever reason, they hide out in the master bathroom behind the toilet emoticon . They come unglued if you flush, tho emoticon !

I hope everything works out for you!
