What Worked Before...

I was writing in my journal over the weekend about what worked for me 2 years ago when I actually lost weight (about 18 lbs) A few points were:
Wear a pedometer every day
drink 96oz water every day
add more fibre & protein to every meal
post regularly on SP
get more exercise (regularly!)
Join Wharton's clinic (free weigh ins & meal plans)
plan out all meals and snacks
avoid vending machines & fast food
take PGX daily
I am having trouble with getting started; staying motivated. I definitely want to lose weight but I know its going to take patience and determination on my part.
I have a girlfriend who is ready to lose weight and has already lost 9 lbs since boxing day. I am very competitive by nature, and I am thinking its a good idea to team up with her! Our boys go to beavers every Monday night and we have decided that for the hour they are in beavers, we will walk, walk walk!
So bring it on! I did a full grocery shop today with nothing but good, healthy foods for me to prepare meals and snacks with.
