Day 433A: The Morning Quickie

Friday, January 18, 2013

When I can't sleep, I can't sleep. When Himself can't sleep, no one can sleep, because he will check every five minutes to make sure no one else is enjoying the rest he is somehow denied... *sigh*

Lousy start to the day: lousy night last night, and the decided lack of rest is never a good thing. Add to that the fact that I forgot to set up the coffee pot (urk) and that the computer wanted to act up (URK) and you can see why I was diving into the aspirin bottle at breakfast.

Well. Sorted now. Thank goodness for Bayer, and TGIF.

Have a good'un, Sparklers - carpe diem!

I can´t say that I miss sharing the bedroom, I much enjoy to do what I pleas, put on the light if I need to...that said I do have a master - the cat. If he is out he notices when I go to bed and then come knocking on the bedroom window, I have to get upp and walk around to let hi in. And I can´t do it before by opening the door and call for him, he won´t be there... and he seems sadistic because if I sit on the bed and wait for him to come knocking he will not... Not until I have given up and crawled down under the duvet...THEN...knock,knock...and then he decides really early that he wants out, he will climb around on the shelves in the bedroom and knock down things...the best is to lock him in the entrance with food and a bed.

I'm sorry about your woes. My husband has an endearing trait of waking me up from a deep slumber to ask me if he is "keeping me awake" as he lumbers about the house.

Aspirin is a great all-purpose cure for many maladies. It's the Universal Placebo for me.

It's one of the Marriage Penalties that we spouses sometimes adversely affect the other. On the other hand, when I was a single woman, I would wake up from the smallest sound. Now, having been married and sleeping next to Joe for over 12 years, I rarely wake up when he gets up or comes to bed in the middle of the night. It's so mysterious some nights -- I go to bed alone and wake up next to a gorgeous man! LOL

    Hope your day improves dramatically...
