My husband is the Smoothie King! Last week, pressured by our house guest, Monty made different smoothies 5 nights in a row. (I'm not sure our blender has been used that much in the 15 years that we've had it.) Each and every smoothie was incredibly delicious.
Funny - our Florida weather was very much on the chilly side last week and we spent the time enjoying (icy, cold) smoothies. So this week the temperatures are warmer and challenge #11 is a nice, hot crock pot soup packed with protein. We have a big crock pot so I should have plenty of leftovers for work, and I think this would be good for Monty's training table since he's doing his first duathalon this coming weekend.
HEY! Our family is also trying the same thing for a week. First week we did healthy tacos for dinner all week. Second week we're doing healthy homemade pizzas with lots of veggies . Planning on soups next, but I like the idea of smoothies better. For some odd reason, it seems less stressful to find a new, fun, healthy recipe for dinner when you KNOW it's already decided ahead of time. Will have to go back and see what the challenge you have going is. Sounds like fun whatever it is. 2245 days ago
