First Complete Day w/ Fitbit

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it I'm about to lose control and I think I like it.

Sorry but I really am in love with this little tiny piece of equipment. I have had it on since I got home from work yesterday, except for when I showered both days, I even slept with it on. I only got 7 hours of sleep last night which sounds about right since I have been having a hard time sleep this week but today rocked. I had no idea how many steps I was taking in a normal day and I was pretty excited to see where I was at throughout the day. By the time I got home from work I was at just under 5000 steps and I couldn't believe it.

I did decide that it is easier to wear it during exercise and let it track my minutes, even if it is a little less than what I actually did. That way I don't have to figure out how to track the things that aren't entered right on the tracker. It also saves me a little bit of time so that I can spend time doing other things, like posting this blog.

I know I posted about the squat challenge earlier this week and I have to say it is a challenge since I am doing other workouts that also have squats that I don't count. My legs are sore but today was my first rest day so I just did my workout squats and nothing extra. I have tried to make it a little more interesting by doing different kinds of squats so I do regular squats, squats with feet together, and plie squats for good measure. I am hoping that by doing this I am targeting all the muscles and will shed even more on the thighs and lift the butt from all sides. So far so good.

I think that next week I may try to add some Insanity into my workout sessions but not everyday, just a few times a week to build up stamina and strength. I love the Insanity workout but I know my limits and that I'm not ready to try it full on yet.
