How do I travel and stay healthy on a budget

Hey sparkers,

So I have a new job and next week I have to travel to train for my new job and I was wondering how I could be healthy and save money. I was thinking of doing the dollar menu for Taco Bell and McDonalds but in looking at that it's just a lot of carbs and grease so I was looking for alternative suggestions. I believe my food allowance is $20 a day however I could have misheard and it could be 20 for the whole week so I'm trying to be really really low budget just in case.

    Go to the grocery store and get a salad. Traveling is my greatest challenge.

    Just do he best you can......everything is correctable when you get home. It will take a few days for your sodium levels to decrease, so don't get discouraged when you get home.

    Two good choices with the chili and Subway, just make sure you exercise your portion control, that's what gets me when I travel. You should also see if you can't stop by a grocery store for some fresh fruits and veggies - my choice carrots, blueberries, raspberries - you may pay more, but if you're looking at nutrition for your money, that's the way to go emoticon

    Subway! A deli egg white sandwich is under $4 I believe and you can load it up with as many veggies as you want!
