bad news comes in threes

so i was out doing the regular sat eerrands one of which is grocery shopping and DH calls and says the basement flooded. the carpeting is soaked and wanted to know where the shop vac and tools were. oh goody there goes our plans to travel again. 8 hours later at least 30 gals hauled upstairs and out to the curb and shifting as much of the stuff in the basement to dryer areas and now almost 7000 steps and 8 flights of stairs. my body hurts in all kinds of places some new others very very old, i am tired but maybe that is a good thing and i will sleep well.
