The Water Tank saga ends on Mother's Day!

It was so great to read all yer comments on my "Hot Water Tank " blog, and how to deal with the Water Tank rental, company---Your comments, reaffirmed that we were right --that that company, was the "BAD GUY"---

To continue the saga----the guy who installed the tank did come with a new element--Himself met him at our door and told him, we'd decided to have their tank removed-We were told by him that we were "BAD PEOPLE" -- LOL--his words--

I called the water tank company and told them why we had decided to not use their service anymore--was told that we still had 5 yrs remaining on our contract-and were responsible for $960 plus taxes.----However------during this telephone conversation, I detected a Jamaican accent----Himself is Jamaican!--I asked her if she was from Jamaica--AND SHE WAS----Lord Love a Duck eh!!!----And there is more-------
Can you believe that she waived the penalty charges -(This whole conversation took over 30 minutes of me going into all the details of their poor service)-
So-----We hired our own plumber , who took out their tank--installed our "Canadian Tire $271 40 gal. tank--and---VOILA-----We have hot water----

So, there IS a GOD up in Heaven-----and it pays to "STAY STRONG"---Thanks Sparklers!-----AND_----- HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY to y'all!

    Good for you!! I just knew you would win this one!! There are so many bad companies out there trying to take advantage. Our cell phone service always trys to tack on services every time my son upgrades his phone. He ends up with games he never agreed to and a whole bunch of other stuff. Since we pay the cell phone bill, hubby calls them and grumps at them and then they take it off. Last time he told them he would report them and son's last upgrade did not have any other services attached to it. It pays to be vilgilant and also assertive!!!

    emoticon for holding your ground when you were being threatened. Geez,often it seems like customer service is extinct and that no one cares anymore, so we have to continue to fight for our rights. Enjoy a nice hot bath today and have a great Mother's Day with your family! emoticon

    I knew it would work out. There is so much browbeating by companies and I bet that only less than 50% actually get their way (of the companies). Glad you can have a wonderful Mother's day because I KNOW you have a full house today as you do every Sunday. And that means you have lot's of hot water for cleaning sticky hands and faces! emoticon

    Oh . . . my . . . gosh!!! You're right!! There realy IS a God and He listens! Glad you now have a hot wate heater YOUR WAY.

    So glad it turned out well! A lot of those companies BY POLICY threaten and browbeat, but cannot really enforce the penalties they threaten you with. Good job standing firm.

    Now, with hot water in house... go out and enjoy that Mother's Day, Lynda. You earn it every day! emoticon
