Well, almost 4 months since my last post, actually.
I have been doing a lot of tracking on my phone using the Sparkpeople app instead, so I haven't physically been at the website for much more than clicking the little button to add up all my fruits and veg, haha. But I figured I'd check in (when I should be going to bed)!
I haven't weighed myself in a long time. I'm averaging around the high end of 107 lbs. over all the last times I've checked, though. The greatest indicator for me is that all my clothes still fit, so I guess I just never bother anymore since I can fit into my pants. Some days the pants are a little tighter than normal, and sometimes not, but it seems to average out. I am a lot more toned than I used to be, so I'd like to think a lot of it is muscle!
Not much has changed food-wise, except I have been very good lately with upping my fruit & veg intake, and making sure to keep it steady on the weekends too. Weekends can be a pain sometimes when it comes to tracking, so some weekends I just take a break. I find it a lot easier than obsessing over what was all in my breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-between snacks, mostly while I'm on the run!
I've gotten back into yoga pretty hardcore as of late. I started seriously increasing my practice in February, and I've been doing it somewhere from 3-5x a week depending on what my body is telling me. I was hiking on the weekends as well, but my fiance broke his toe and we have had to take a hiatus for almost two months now! It's kind of driving me crazy not being able to get into the woods, but the blissfulness of yoga has been helping calm me down. Hopefully his toe will heal up soon and we will be able to get some warm-weather hikes in now that we don't have to go completely bundled up anymore!
Upping my yoga practice has shown a lot of gains. I'm increasing my strength and flexibility a lot, and though I don't think I have the body type (nor the drive, really) to get a great set of abs, I'm pretty happy with what I see in the mirror lately. I'm less obsessive about planning food out ahead of time and just kind of eat until I'm satiated and then log things down. If it turns out to be a higher calorie day than normal, oh well!
I've also picked up hooping again for practice, which should add some cardio to my routine. I'm excited to learn some new moves and get better at it, since it really is fun to do outside during the summertime while hanging out with friends. It's a calming exercise that puts you in a blissed out mood, which is absolutely wonderful and adds a lot to the after-effects of my yoga practice as well.
I hope everyone is doing well and dealing with the insanity of the winter-spring-summer shift, because the weather is absolutely bonkers here on the east coast. One day it'll be 40s and raining, and the next it'll be 90s and muggy, or 50s and super windy followed by 85 and thunderstorm. The weather reports seem to change every 5 minutes -- no one has any idea what is going on!
