Ok, so I'm not a Vegetarian...

Well, I tried it,being a vegetarian, and it's not for my body. I did it for about 7 months and ended up gaining about 15 lbs. I was pretty good at it and only had a few slip ups and went right back to eating my fruits, veggies, grains and dairy. I tried new and exciting foods. I was really on the border before, so it wasn't much of a transition for me anyway. I was getting the hang of it with the family by making two different dishes or setting aside a portion for myself and then adding the meat to the rest of the dish. My husband began eating less and less meat, too. My vegan friend's husband became vegan and so since the two are buddies, when they went out it was discussed.
I have been working hard at exercising the past 3 months with my Hot Yoga classes and other strength training classes. I slacked on my cardio but have been doing a lot of stretching and eating well along with plenty of water drinking. My hot yoga classes burn 900 to over 1000 calories per 75 min. class and I was taking 2-3 a week for 3 months!! Obviously this was frustrating.
So, since I had lost 50 lbs. before eating normal food and doing normal exercise with Spark....Sparkpeople here I come! All my yoga passes are done for the summer so unless they have some amazing deal, I will be doing something else for the summer, like chasing my kids on their new found love, bikes, or walking on the treadmill or stationary bike at the Y. Whatever I do, I will be working hard!!
