DAY 1 -- in 24 day challenge - TURNING POINT

Today is my first day on the 24 day challenge by Advocare.

I started my adventure with this company due to pain - my lower back pain was gone after a few days of using two of their products - Joint Promotion and Biotools - so - I decided that I would take the 24 day challenge and see what health benefits and feeling of wellness could be derived from following the plan for 24 days - I have incorporated both the joint and biotools into this challenge as well. I am thrilled to see the use of vitamins as well as herbs and the wide range of doctors who helped put this plan together.

I obtained my information from the following site and by talking to those who have gone before me in this adventure - I have ordered all my supplies from this site

DAY 1 -
water - I always knew how important it is - but now I am tracking it and need more than I ever thought --

SPARK - powder you mix with water 30 minutes before breakfast - filled with vitamins - It sustains my energy - not a huge burst - instead a wonderful evenness all day - As a baby boomer, I am not what I was 20 years ago and my endurance is not the same - but with SPARK I have been able to maintain my activity level the entire day without a rest - I never did like to rest as there is so much to do in life - Life is short so I am determined to make it amazing !!

Fiber drink - this seems Metamucil (ish) to me - the same consistency - This is only used for 6 days out of the 24 - I had this with breakfast-

MEALS - basically each meal you create should have protein - complex carbs - veggies etc - It is real eating - you design your meals - I am going to stick to a Mediterranean diet which I love and is easy for me - You are encouraged to eat healthy - so I guess that does not include my m&m's - but that is a good thing -

At dinner I also take an Omega Plex (omega 3)

BEDTME - herbal cleanse capsules for the first 10 days - no running to the bathroom - just being "normal" - although I will say that all the water might be creating a new normal for me - but that is a good thing -

Activity - I imagine that doing some kind of activity would be beneficial - but I also know that many of us are dealing with health/physical issues as we age - I just had a hip replacement - so I am not going to run any races today - but I am walking the stairs and walking to the mailbox - and without my back pain - how good is that?? I am thrilled-
