I have burned more calories this week than I have in a long time. Running and ST are good calorie burners, but I have to work harder for those and they feel like 'work' if you know what I mean.
After a year of being patient, working hard at physical therapy and working hard on my own, I played soccer twice this week. It felt good. No, it felt AWESOME! Full sprinting and cutting, I can tentatively say I am back! Now I have to turn my priorities back to myself. I have not done that lately and the pounds have settled to places that shall remain unnamed. I just know me, if I don't step up now, I will spiral into a place I DO NOT WANT TO GO.
So tomorrow, I run or walk the dogs and I will drink all my dang water if it kills me. My eating has been pretty good, leftovers from the 4th have been amazing! Roasted corn on fresh salad with avocado and tomatoes...okay, I am hungry now.
Even better is my hubby goes back to work this week. Getting used to a new schedule will be an adjustment, but in a good way. The time at home was tough at first but was okay toward the end.
I am setting a new fitness/weight goal, gotta hammer out the details, but that's what's up with me. "Not that you care, but now you know." (A tag line one of our local radio personalities uses that I think is funny)
I close with a quote: Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. ~Jean-Jacques Rousseau
