We tried a new church today as Maegann wanted to due to friends she's gone to camp with for two years attend there. We all knew one family but naturally they are out of town so we were on our own. Didn't stay for Sunday School since they were gone and we let Maegann make the call on that one. Tim and I were both trying hard not to fall asleep from the sermon and both kids said at various times and in different words... "boring." Doubt we'll go back.

Once home I decided to do my James Bible study as there wastime before lunch to listen to the video that precedes the next weeks worth of "homework." A good lesson and Beth Moore did not make me tired! LOL

Knee is feeling much better today which is nice. I also realized that I have been feeling better without the dairy because I went ahead and used goat milk yesterday and today my water retention, finger numbness and muscle aches are back. Hadn't thought about those being gone for a couple of days. Knowing that goats milk shouldn't affect me as much makes me realize how much worse things would be if I'd stuck with cows milk.

Tomorrow... swim lessons for the kids and Isaac's counseling appointment. This will be the last time his appt is on a different day. After this it will be at the same time as Maegann's!

Sometimes I feel like I am too old for church. I really miss the way churches were during my childhood. I also prefer the old hymns to the new ones, and I do not care for the jazzed up versions of the old hymns.

Glad to hear your knee is improving.

I love Beth Moore studies, she keeps it so real and at my level emoticon
The last 2 ladies Bible studies have been Kay Arthur and I love her style of learning too! I went to a precept upon precept conference and learned so much.

Nothing worse than going to church and not "feeling it." Not that we go to be entertained, but we certainly go to learn.. I wonder if you need to restrict more than just cow's milk? Glad the restrictions made you feel better though..

Sorry things didn't work out with the church you attended but you'll find what you are looking for just when you need it most. That always happens for me.
Good to know that you are definitely seeing a difference from cutting out the dairy. That makes it easier to keep up with the plan! Hope you have a nice evening.

I love our new church! Though a small one, it is so active! We had our men's and women's breakfasts yesterday. I love that they are the same time, so that it takes minimal time away from spouse time. Today after church about 20 of us met for lunch.

I was very fortunate in that the very first church I tried when I moved here in 1990 welcomed us with open arms and was only 2 1/2 blocks from where we were living then. It had a vibrant youth program and good adult programs. Later, after the original pastor went elsewhere and we got a new pastor, we were also fortunate since the pastor's wife has a calling to work with youth. She continues to pray for all my kids even though they are all grown now.

It's always hard when you get nothing out of the church service. Sorry to hear that it wasn't quite what you wanted. Enjoy your evening!
