Yesterday went good! I thought the impromptu bbq at our neighbors house was going to be problematic and tempting, but I did pretty good. I came prepared with ceviche and veggies, rather than partaking in the hot dogs and hamburgers.

Breakfast: Granola, Noosa Raspberry yogurt & blueberries

Mid Morning Snack: Veggies & Jalapeno Cilantro Hummus

Lunch: Taco salad, sans "taco"

Dinner: Ceviche, veggies, grapes, and a few chips. Didn't get a picture because I was too busy enjoying the company of friends and watching the kids in the pool. But this is the ceviche. It's all fresh ingredients: shrimp, crab, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, lime and lemon juice.

For drinks I made an awesome blend of fresh fruits in my juicer and mixed it with a little bit of coconut rum. It was DE-LISH and about as healthy as a cocktail could get!

Overall total calories for the day, somewhere in the vicinity of 1400. I'm guestimating because I did not calculate the fruit juice I made.

Today is our son's 12th b-day. I stayed up until 12:30 last night decorating the house for him. I'm tired today, but it was worth it! I wish I could have been home to see his face when he woke up today, but I had to leave for work before he got up. The phone call I got was a good substitute though. He was thoroughly pleased! My best friend is picking the boys up today, taking them to her house to swim and have pizza and cake. Then tonight his mom, step dad, and I are taking him to dinner. Hubby has his first real shift at the hospital tonight and has to work until 10pm. I'm sure it's just the first of many holidays he will miss now working in a hospital, but he is beyond excited and we're planning to celebrate together as a family on Saturday. Despicable Me 2, Pool, and BBQ party style.
