Hi:
It's been a long time since I've added a blog. I have gotten more serious about weight loss, and since April 12 of this year, I've lost 15 lbs - about 5 lbs a month. Add this to weight I lost before and have kept off, I'm down 33 lbs since about a year and a half ago. I'm currently walking 2 miles a day 4 times a week, and I'm doing a modified Atkins/South Beach diet - eating no potatoes, no pasta, no bread, and no desserts unless fruit. Trying to have one "normal" meal a day, with a high protein drink (30 g protein) for at least one of the meals. Currently I have cereal & a banana 2 mornings a week, and a blender of slim fast powder, wheat germ, banana, 2% milk and ice cubes - 3 mornings a week. Friday mornings I have breakfast with men from our church, but no hash browns for sure - once a month I have a steak and eggs. Other Fridays - 1/2 of a ham and cheese omlet & English muffin. On Sunday mornings, just coffee and a high protein bar before church. Trying to lose more weight before visit of our 3 grown kids and all 6 grand kids for my Mom's 90th birthday August 7 - I'm down 2 notches on my belt, and down to XL shirts from XXL - still have long way to go, but I'm already down to weight I was a decade ago
