My workout Shake up

Through a lot of SP reading I have finally figured out I cannot do the same old exercises everyday. I've been doing 40 minutes a day on the treadmill. One week my ankle hurt and I pushed through. I paid for it with some pain and healed it with rest over that weekend but went right back to it.
I have decided my body is on to me. It has come to expect my food intake and exercise to stay the same and has decided "I'll show her". Scale isn't budging much despite my "doing everything right". Wrong.
I've been neglecting my strength exercises and probably in the habit of eating not quite enough. So yesterday I ate a bit more and gained a 4 oz.
So what. Today I did the same eating wise with a piece of dark chocolate thrown in for good measure. Yum.
I also cut back on my treadmill minutes to 25 and added several strength exercises. Take that, body!!! I will continue this for a week or two and then change again. I firmly believe this will fool my metabolism (at least increase it) If it doesn't' well then I'll try something else new.
I can only benefit despite a plateau! I think I'll win this one!
