I survived my initial week of pretty much "bedrest" since the doctor wanted me to take it easy w/out going too stir crazy. It was getting rough by the end of the week, but fortunately some of my kids came to visit and that really helped get me outta the funk I was delving into...

This week I've started physical therapy... the days in the gym are just a little bit of stretching and a couple of strengthening exercises, followed by alot of e-stim and ultrasound. Feels kinda weird while they are doing it, but I definitely thinks it helps afterward.

Today I had my first session of Aqua Therapy in the pool... LOVE that! I'm able to walk full weight on my leg in the water, which feels wonderful. And I am able to do all sorts of strengthening and even cardio in the water w/out difficulty or pain.

Best news of all: the therapist doesn't feel like I've lost any actual strength in my leg... so at least I haven't gone "backwards"!

    Good to hear all is going well especially that you've not had any strength loss. I still need to get that back in my left hip the 2nd THR. Be good and enjoy your days. emoticon emoticon
