Lord Love A Duck!

Saturday, July 27, 2013

Some days , it seems, ""go to pot"" as they are starting---
But------our attitude towards it all can help you "'carry on""---
For example---Yesterday we lost ""hydro""---at 7am---
Sparkly people in the US., call it , ""power""---
Living where we do (in the bush)-this happens a lot---
So---we packed up the Germans, and drove to the next town to pick up a few gardening tools----There was nothing I could do in the dark house ---
When we returned, the lights were back on----

Sometimes when it seems like the day is not unfolding the way it should---it does help to change your plans , and go with the flow--

It made me realize how my thinking has changed since I began Sparking---

Even at a restaurant, I now look at the menu, and wonder what I can eat that will help me get to goal---

I don't accept a lot of crap anymore----Sparkpeople have shown me that I AM worth it---!-----which-----does cause a lot of ""words"""--between himself and I , at times--LOL---
I am wayeeeee more vocal and am not afraid to stand up for my rights-----(and fat cat's rights!_LOL----himself not being a big fan of ""Fat Cat"")

Exercise EVERY day can be difficult , some days-----but-----Spark has shown me that gardening--walking the Germans-(dogs)- vacuuming--10 minutes of treadmill-ing---IS a form of exercise---

Spark does take time-----but----It seems to me, it's a great reminder, every day, to stay healthy----and happy! YOUZA!!!!---I love ya Sparklers!

You are worth it! And sitting at a restaurant and wondering what you can do there to be better means that you have embraced the lifestyle change! It isn't just a diet! Awesome!

If for nothing else, the daily reminders from fellow sparkers that WE can do it, and WE are worth it... is soooo worth keeping on Sparking, no?

    Spark on, my friend!

I had a day like that yesterday but it's best to focus on the positives. Great job putting yourself and your health first...and you're right, it DOES take time, but we are worth it! emoticon

Uh oh . . . it was NOT a good day! HUGS and hope today's better.

If it helps it wasn't a good day here either. New computer is toast. Diagnostics by a tech confirmed. So, have to trot back and get ANOTHER one. OH well. Could be worse.

HUGS and smiles. Guess we could both use 'em, eh! Thanks for sharing . . . don't feel alone, oh virtual one.

I have been using "gardening" as exercise on days that I don't walk. I have a very aggressive vine growing on the north side of my house that I am concerned will choke out my Lilly of the Valley. So, I have been attacking it a little bit at a time. Got a blister on my right middle finger from pulling at the roots. I hate watering weeds, but yesterday I put the sprinkler on that area to try and soften the ground enough to pull more. Our city is on voluntary water restriction due to the dry weather, and usually the only things that get watered are those things that were intentionally planted (veggies and flowers) Mostly my kids (21 yr old DD and 18 yr old DS) do the watering. We did put the sprinkler on the lawn once for granddaughter to play in, but as she is only 14 months old, it was only about 15 minutes.

Yeah for you! You are getting stronger and stronger and stronger - in all ways. You give credit to SP - and while I'm sure that helped - the bottom line is. . YOU did this! Change comes from within. Things outside of us can help in various ways, but at the end of the day, it is what is inside of us that makes all the difference. I am so very proud of you! Stay strong! Stay healthy! Stay your ground whenever you need to! Thanks for the post. It sparked me - big time!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon
