It's beyond my comprehension.

Friday, August 16, 2013

It's all beyond my comprehension. I see people losing weight right and left. I'm so proud of them, because they are so inspiring. Then you take me -- I don't know what's going on. I've been working at this for over 3 months now. I am totally eating within my range and have been exercising daily, only to lose about 4 lbs. What is happening to me? I'm so frustrated right now. Sorry.

This is Friday, and usually I'm jumping up and down, but today I'm not feeling physically well - thus, I guess I'm super sensitive to my situation.

Dena, I feel what you're feeling. I have been struggling with the last twenty pounds or so for quite a while now. I eat within my range most days, exercise and just seem to stay around the same area. I'm not perfect with my eating, but what before used to bring me a 2 pound a week loss now just keeps me around the same 5 pound range . . . which would be fine if it were where I wanted to be! I think part of it may be that I'm too complacent where I am . . . I don't know. For this month, I'm trying to focus on fitness goals instead of weight loss to try to help build some success/momentum in that area. Don't give up! One of my favorite sayings that I read here somewhere on spark this week - Finishing dead last still beats did not finish which beats didn't start. emoticon

My husband is in the same boat as you and it drives him crazy. He's started dieting the same time as me (but had much more to lose) and he's now down to the last 20 or so pounds and nothing he does seems to make a difference.

I wish I had an answer for you as I wish I had for my husband because I can see how much it gets him down. We've concluded that it must have something to do with his stress levels and how much sleep he's getting (or not getting), but even so, you would think if a person was eating within calorie range and exercising that they'd still be losing.

Stay strong!! Don't give up on it!! You will get there.
