I just got in from walking 11.5 minutes, not miles, minutes. I knew it was going to be a rough morning when it took me 30 minutes to get out the door. As I was walking my knees started to hurt and I was having some muscle pain just below my right knee. Then my right hip started to bother me, so I made my way home.

I came in and did some seated dumbbell exercises but . . . I feel like I'm failing. I cannot quit!!! I have quit too many times before and I have failed my body. It's almost as though this time around it's going to fail me, even though my heart is still in the game. This whole walking/cardio thing has become a habit and I'm enjoying it. I don't want to lose the ability to get out there and take care of business.

I think it's time I joined our city's pool.

11.5 minutes is more than 0. Every minute, every rep, and every movement counts. As long as you try and do, you can not fail. The only way we fail is to give up entirely.

You are not failing! You are moving and that is more important than you realize. If you have to take a few days off of walking to heal, just do strength training or some other low impact movement. Just do what you can and you will start to see the results! BIG emoticon

It is so true. You have to keep pushing no matter how big or small your progress is. It all eventually comes together! :) emoticon
