Frustration!!

How does one behave all week, do two MAJOR workouts plus a sweat-inducing line-dance class with friends, walk every day, not eat anything extra (except for one dinner from KFC shared with a friend), drink lots of water AND STILL NOT LOSE A FREAKIN' POUND!?!!?!

I went out a few times for a chats and coffee at Tim Horton's (coffee shop) and didn't have so much as a single timbit! ... coffee with only 1/2 milk!!

Sunday I sat at Pedro's Island Eatery in North River (great place to eat by the way) while my sister and her daughter had a late lunch (I'd already eaten my light lunch before leaving home) and I drank coffee. I even avoided the temptation of their to-die-for homemade coconut cream pie!

So my big news this week is NOTHING. Not a single pound! not an ounce! I checked the scale 3 times .. nope, nary a number has changed!

SIGH SIGH FREAKIN' AURGHHHHHHHHHH!! Can you say frustration!!

OKAY... temper tantrum rant is over .... breathe in, breathe out .... relaaaxxxxxxxx

    Drink more water, exercise a little harder, keep a real honest food log....that's sometimes where I can slip up.....and BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT!!!

    I have given up weighing myself every week. I weigh in now at the first of every month. I will no longer be a slave to what the scale says. I set goals for myself every month -- like exercising X days a week, trying a new Sparkpeople Recipe X times a month -- and I concentrate on my accomplishments. I'm learning to be PROUD of the healthful choices I make and not so concerned just with what the scale says.

    Okay, I'm going to have to ask, how did you do last week? Did you post a loss then? If so it's REALLY not uncommon to have a week where you don't see a loss. ALSO, how was your sleep? You water intake? Both of those influence my weight loss big time.
    You also may be retaining water due to salt levels, you may post a really nice loss next week. Don't let this one weigh in discourage you, I had one a few months back where I gained almost 5 lbs and I was livid...I literally gained it like overnight...the following week I posted a 7.2 lb loss though. So it worked itself out.

    Coffee has sodium hold fluids.. the warm weather makes one's body hold in the fluids to hydrate itself.
    Ten cups of water a day helps with weight loss...
    I found that I would go for a long time and lose nothing, then one day I woke up, lost two or three pounds overnight!! NO rhyme or reason to it either!!

    If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.

    Nobody can step on me unless I get down on the ground.

    Go on with what you are doing and focus on health, not weight loss... it WILL happen..
