Cats/Dogs in space

Hi All,

I attended a most interesting meeting earlier this week. The Intrepid Museum offers ongoing Professional Development for educators. These are free opportunities.
If you're teacher in the NYC area, check it out. Also - great resources on their site.

NASA educators were on site for 2 days as part of the week long series. I caught the tail end of one. The NASA folk were working with the local teachers on ideas to provide the teachers aids/props etc which they could use in their classes. Very interesting 2 way discussions.

My session - several of the volunteers who have indicated an interest in Space & NASA programs were asked about our experiences & interaction with Intrepid visitors. & there was a fun demo on a training tool used with astronauts. For educators, the NASA site also has wonderful resources.

& now for pictures. 2 of the dog pictures are real dogs from the Russian program.

Have a great day
