goal weight here I come

Sunday, September 22, 2013

So the wedding that I have been preparing for has finally come and gone. I felt great and was able to fit into the dress. Now the crazy thing is that a week before the wedding I came down with the flu and couldn't eat for over a week. I lost quite a bit of weight and since have but a quite a bit of it back on. The wedding was last Saturday and I sprained my toe that night. I went to the dr and the she said she believes it is broken. I haven't been able to workout the past week. But I tell you what I have noticed, when I am working out I eat right, when I'm not I don't. Let's just say, I will be back to working out on Monday, even if its just cardio until my toe is better and healed. I am doing a Zombie 5K next Saturday and have to get my toe well for that. I am pretty stoked about it. I have been trying not to get down on myself for putting back some of the weight, but I do know that the week of not eating from being sick was not good for me. I am looking forward to being back on track and getting to my goal. I wanted to do it in a year, but I know now that it gets harder the closer you get to your goal weight. I am grateful for blogging because it helps me say what I feel without holding back. Monday is my back on track day and I'm excited and can't wait. Goal weight here I come.......

The zombie 5K run was so amazing. It challenged me and I was unable to see in the pitch black being that I did the run in the night. But I finished it and dancing through the finish line. There were so many obstacles and so many zombies. I crawled through tunnels, climbed huge tires, walked through thigh high mud lakes, crawled in mud with barbed wire above my head, I got shocked in the smokehouse by electric voltages that were hanging from the ceiling, and I fell and got scraped up pretty badly on my right side all while having a broken toe. But the exciting thing is that I finished and I did what my body was saying I could not. Tomorrow I will begin Insanity again because I want to continue to challenge myself in other areas of my life and fitness journey. I will begin blogging each Friday to say how my Insanity challenge for myself is going. I figure if I do that than that keeps me accountable.

You can do it! Also, let us know how you do during the Zombie Run. I'm scared to do it, because I may hit someone due my reflexes after being chased! LOL!
