I have been having a very hard time the last 2 weeks, with over eating....I'm not even sure when I'm doing it..but the scale is going up so I have to be eating to much....

I had such a great Sept. stayed on track and did so well, then something happened, well several things happened in my life, too personal to post here , but family issues and some old baggage issues as well, at first I was up to the challenge then I noticed the scale was moving up AGAIN......just when I had lost 5 pounds...this seems like such a struggle, if I don't watch every single bite of food that goes in my mouth I gain weight....

I have been exercising a lot, even twice a day, I added weight lifting, using my new weight gym set my BIL gave me...I thought the extra exercise would help relieve my stress, being anxious and keep me busy....
but no matter how much exercise I have done can't undo the extra food I am eating.....

I am not eating junk foods, I have backed off, most processed food and eating out.....
I must go back to the basic plan I started with, weighing and measuring all my food....I need to go back to my 6-7 mini meals a day...that seems to be where I do my best....

the carb cycling worked for the first cycle but then it seemed to make me feel hungry all the not sure if its emotional or my plan but I do know that I must stop over eating....the scale needs to go down....down ...down.....I don't want this to get out of hand....

so once again back to planning meals, weighing extras, not even extra veggies....

let's see how this works.....I must stay's not going to be easy but I can and will do this....

    You have a plan... 6 - 7 mini meals is a great idea... it worked before, give it a go again... I know you will be fine. You are strong. Just too much going on can cause food routine upsets etc. Don't be hard on yourself.. you have done a great job & will do well going forward.

    Hang in there, Kitt. As you said, getting back to the basics and what you know works will help. Sticking to healthy habits during times of high stress is really hard, and all you can do is stick with what works, take it a day at a time, and use your support system to help strengthen your resolve. You'll get through this, one day at a time, one step at a time. It's hard, but you're a fighter. Keep looking ahead and work toward small goals. You'll make it, sweetie! We're all rooting for you!

    Sorry to hear Kitt. That is exactly I was afraid of trying carb circling. I know myself well and a carb day turning into 2nd day, 3 rd day or more. I just received e-mail notice from my library that I can borrow the book. I have to finish reading for now and decide what I will do. Good luck on get back on track. You can do it.

    Kitt. Stop! Take a deep breath. This is not really an emergency. You are in control of everything. You are your own best friend. Slipping around a bit isn't the end of everything , it is a que for you to do ALL the things you were doing before, when you were losing. That includes exercise. You KNOW very well that over exercising messes things up. You need to make a plan, a programe. Stick to it. Include some things to do that you like. Relax . This will take time. You have lots of that. SLow and steady is the way for this to happen. Plan it out . Set small goals. Get those bulk cooking sessions going again. Lots of chicken and fish. Back away from those red meats. Watch your sodium. track track track. You are the person you have always been and you will do all this just as you have done in the past.

    Just one thing
    -Do you think with all the working out and strength training you are gaining muscle!
    - & you need more food as you are burning more calories?

    Just a thought ..

    Way to be on top of things! Sometimes we just have to be hard on ourselves and go back to the basics. Weight and measuring our food and tracking EVERY little bite can be very mind opening! emoticon emoticon You got this girl!!!

    I found a food diary at Barnes & Nobel and it helps a lot. They have many different types and often you can put goals and your exercise into them!

    Everyone has problems with relapse, I tend to eat too much particularly when i'm upset. I usually have a strong want for some Ben and Jerry's when I had a bad day. Congrats on recognizing the problem and getting back on board!
