Oct. Reflections/ November Goals 2013

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Let’s see Oct. has been extremely stressful month between my car’s transmission going out and needing a new car, family issues galore, and a stressful month at work. I can honestly say at least I have kept up my walking streak which is over 2.5 years now every day. At times I need to realize and accept that I cannot squeeze everything in that I wish I could. My sleep has been very short which has tired me out. I work three jobs and run my girls around a lot, can we say burning the candle at both ends? I need the jobs to make ends meet so I cannot get rid of any of them, it is just life.

Oct. Reflections
Walked every day emoticon
Met my yearly fitness goal of 25,000 minutes (Oct. 31, 2013) emoticon
My plateau has been within a 7 pound range (this is frustrating) emoticon
I continue to drink 8 glasses of water a day. emoticon
My Spark friends have been supportive! Thank God! emoticon
I have not tracked my food like I should, hence no real weight loss. emoticon
I have continued to blog once a month! (Go me at the 11th hour!) emoticon
I have continued to read for myself! emoticon
Bought a Nissan Altima 2013 with under 29,000 miles but now I have a car payment which has not occurred for 8 years. ( I am concerned but need to find a way!) emoticon

Nov. Goals
I want to continue walking every day. emoticon
I want to track my food honestly 5 days out of 7 days. emoticon
I want to break my plateau and lose 5 pounds by the end of Nov. emoticon
I will continue to drink my water. emoticon
I will be supportive of my Spark friends. emoticon
I will huddle w/ my teams for 5 days out of 7 days emoticon
I will continue to blog once a month for accountability. emoticon
I will continue to read for myself or find other ways of me time. emoticon

I am positive that my Spark friends will hold me accountable and help me to maintain my goals for Nov. and help me get through the first set of holidays. I love Spark people and always have; I just need to utilize it to the fullest. Please keep me on track. emoticon

Great Goals, and you've been doing fantastic keeping up the fitness with such a busy schedule.

I think adding the tracking back in will be the best thing for you. I find if I don't keep track I get a little delusional about what i'm eating. And I am horrible for eating whole packages of things that are really 2-3 servings, and thinking of them as only one. Or having a nice healthy meal and then because it was so tasty having seconds before the first has even registered in my tummy. Then instead of satisfied, i'm stuffed. But when I track regularly I quickly see those habits building up and can nip them in the bud.

emoticon on meeting your fitness goal!!!
Congrats on buying the car! All will be okay! You need a dependable car, for all that you do! And you want to get there safely!
And WOOHOO on your streak!!! emoticon
Your life is very full, Chell, & I know times can be difficult. The one thing I can appreciate about you is that you do take the time to care for you! I know it may not seem like much, but you walk everyday & you do attend to ST. Now that's saying a lot about you! You know what's important! And that'd be YOU! The eating,'s a constant struggle, I know. I had been bouncing in an 8 lb place for quite a while. And honestly, it gets very frustrating & meaningless for me after awhile. I can say that I've gone way over the boundaries now, & I'm ready to commit to tracking once more. It works, I know.

I love your spirit, my friend! You are a trooper & once you set your mind, you're on it! Your commitment is 110%, all the way! I know you'll accomplish whatever you set out to do...cause that's just who you are!!!

    Love ya!!! emoticon
