5% Challenge Update

5% Challenge update
I have now lost 9 of the 13 pounds by the 5th week. On non strength training days I am now walking 5 miles ( Leslie Sansone's WATP's). I'm sticking with the 3 miles for my strength training days for now. I started at the two mile point just 5 weeks ago. I am ready for a heavier set of weights for upper body exercises. I'm still poking along with the lower body exercises. I have had a great deal of progress for me though. On one hand I'm proud.

But I also feel like a failure because week four I lost 0 pounds week 5 I only lost 1. My exercise time has been greatly reduced due to debilitating migraines and bad MS days. I still noticed I hit my weekly goal on my fitness tracking page, but that's only because I forgot to change it. At the risk of sounding like a broken record I'm tired of these two things taking over my life. I feel like I have let my team down challenge wise. Lol except for that sleep challenge don't worry mates I could have nailed that one all by my lonesome if I could have counted all my sleepy time hours.
I have done well on all of the Living the Good Life Challenges except-fiber. Which I found shocking because I do normally eat a lot of produce. This week is measuring food for all three meals. I got this one. Everything that goes in my mouth is measured.
I am making myself find the time for meditation again. I have really enjoyed Deepak Chopra's latest 21 day Meditation. Of course I usually enjoy all them. I still have not made the time to incorporate yoga into my workout. I think it would help with pain and cut down on some of these headaches. I'm hoping the new medication I started will kick in soon.
Its also been a little stressful because my best friend of 30 plus years has been in the icu for the last week-complication from diabetes. No she 's no overweight and she is 99.9999% on target. She might take a couple bites of a potato once a month. I've been so worried, scared, and everything you could ever imagine. She is home now thankfully. We live in different cities and I can't drive, so I can't go see her. She is more of a sister to me. I can't imagine what I would do without her.

    Stay encouraged. You have worked hard--and 9 pounds out of 13 is tremendous progress! Super! I am really just maintaining, and since it is during the school year, I am counting that as a win right now.

    Be encouraged. When weight comes off slowly, it is more likely to stay off as long as you maintain a healthy life style. You are doing a great job! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    You are doing a GREAT Job!! I'm sorry about your sister/friend's health scare and I'm sorry that you can't be with her. I'm sure that would make you both feel better. Your exercise regime sounds exhausting! And you are wanting to fit in more - you are a true Sparker and we are lucky to have you on the Cats Team. I'm with you on the measuring week! The hard one for me was sleep - I have to get up so early on the days I work. Great job on your weight loss - your hard work and dedication are really paying off - keep up the good work!

    Sorry about your sister/friend it sounds very serious !! Prayers for her.

    I'm on the One Minute yoga team (OMY) they do one pose a day for minute some are more difficult than others on those days I look up one I can do. It has helped me be more limber an flexible.
