When we do a deed, we are doing something with intent and purpose. We are taking conscious action that, we hope, we cause a result we want to happen. Since our deeds are intentional, we need to carefully take action that will cause positive results rather than negative ones. Whatever actions we take, good and bad, will be judge by God. He will be fair and just and certain we get what we deserve for both the good and bad deeds we do.
Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.” (NLT)
Dear Lord, You teach us right from wrong. You teach us what to do and not do. You show us how to live in Your word. Help us to make the right decisions. Help us to choose to do the right things. Help us to do good deeds rather than deeds that cause others to stumble. We need You, Lord, to help us live intentionally for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Intentional living requires we make intentional decisions and take intentional actions.
Going the extra mile to do the right things will bring the positive results that God has planned for our lives.
Doing good deeds will bring rewards in heaven just as doing bad deeds will bring punishment.
Our actions are based on our decisions. Let’s decide today not to act too quickly but to act according to God’s will.
Everything we do and everything we think will be judged by God.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 “God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.” (NLT)
